Refund & Cancellation Policy
Meetrub operates on an escrow payment model. The following policy governs when and how refunds are issued.
Before order activation
If a hire request or offer is accepted but the Creator has not yet paid, either party may cancel at no cost. No payment has been taken.
After payment — order active
- Once the Creator has paid and the order is ACTIVE, cancellation by the Creator is not permitted without raising a dispute.
- Abandonment by the Freelancer results in a full refund to the Creator, processed by admin within 3 business days.
Dispute-based refunds
| Full refund to Creator | Work not delivered, or delivered work bears no resemblance to agreed scope. |
| Partial refund to Creator | Work partially completed or partially meeting scope. Admin determines split. |
| Full release to Freelancer | Work meets agreed scope. Creator dissatisfaction is subjective, not scope-based. |
Refund processing
Refunds processed via Payment Gateway Refund API to the original payment method.
Processing time: 5–10 business days depending on payment method and bank.
Platform commission (20%) is non-refundable in partial-release scenarios unless dispute resolved fully in Creator's favour.
Auto-approval
If the Creator does not approve, request changes, or raise a dispute within 5 days of delivery, the order is automatically approved and payment released. No refund is possible after auto-approval.
Subscription refunds
- Meetrub Pro subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle has commenced.
- If Meetrub discontinues the Pro plan, a pro-rata refund will be issued for the unused portion.
- Subscriptions cancelled mid-cycle continue until end of paid period. No partial refund.
Non-refundable situations
- Orders auto-approved due to Creator inaction after 5 days of delivery.
- Orders where the Creator approved delivery and later changed their mind.
- Platform commission on completed and approved orders.
- Subscription fees for completed billing periods.
- Any order where the Creator violated Meetrub's Terms of Service.
